As a player
discipline, respect and hard work was his trade mark with only 1 red card in his career for foul language after missing a scoring opportunity. Chippa played for several junior teams around Soweto during his development, and used to overwork his opponents. He was one of the best strikers Mzansi ever had; he had an exquisite technique, searing pace, surprising strength and a lethal touch in front of goals. His repertoire of goals made him one of the finest and most explosive strikers.
He played alongside the likes of Brian Kgafane,Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Morgan Gould and Phumulani Dindi. A top goals scorer in most of local tournaments, a top goal scorer in the promotions league, a top goal scorer in castle league 2003/2004, top goal scorer in Vodacom league 2004/2005 and a contender in the Mvela league 2005/2006 and later signed a PSL contract with Orlando Pirates 2007/200
